When the call went out to people to assist creating and distributing hampers for the Logan East Community Neighbourhood Centre in the lead up to Christmas, Rebel 90.5 FM’s breakfast show hosts, Ash Palmero and Jodie Shepherd led the charge donating nearly $1000 in toys for kids in need in Logan. On the day, Ash and Jodie, helped distribute the hampers along with an army of volunteers from the local community that turned out for the event.
These hampers which include food, bags and surprises help local families put some joy back into Christmas.
Gillian from the Logan East Community Neighbourhood Centre asked local businesses to support the charity and took delivery of a whole heap of toys at the recent wrap up breakfast for the Logan Chamber of Commerce at IKEA in December.
