Following this year’s torrential rain and flooding on the South East Coast, one group of good Samaritans on the Gold Coast has found a way to help those who were affected.

The Sandy Point Beach high-rise in Labrador is being converted from a holiday rental to private residences, and every piece of furniture including the plates and cutlery in the 43 units, is being shipped to Lismore for the flood victims.

Kathryn Soares is one for the organisers who has pulled together the Park Shore project after the generous builder decided to donate the furniture, instead of take it to auction.
