A former Logan councillor who was sacked after being wrongfully charged by the Crime and Corruption Commission with fraud in 2019 is leading a push for compensation.
Trevina Schwarz also says she wants the State Government and the watchdog to apologise over the saga that has destroyed her life and taken a huge toll on her family.
But Attorney-General and Waterfor M.P.Shannon Fentiman says it’s a matter for the CCC, and the watchdog has refused to comment.
Meanwhile, Shadow Integrity Minister Fiona Simpson hopes the recommendations made will allow the CCC to better focus on its core anti-corruption job.
