Yatala local David Webb was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer in his early forties.
Now, he’s attempting to raise funds and awareness for those with his illness by participating in The Long Run, a challenge to run 72km in September.
So far, over a million dollars have been raised for the campaign, the likes of which David says sped up the arrival of his chemo drug.
He says it’s urgent that middle-aged men get checked as quickly as possible, especially if they have a history of prostate cancer in the family.
