It is said that play is an essential part of a child’s development but play really is beneficial for all people of all ages!
Play can bring joy into our lives, relieve stress, improve brain function, stimulate the mind and boost creativity, improve relationships and your connection to others, keep you feeling young and energetic and, here’s one to mention to the boss, play can also make you more productive in the workplace and make your job more enjoyable so perhaps it’s time to take some time out of your work day to play!
The Logan City Council is certainly doing their bit to help the residents of Eagleby get their play on after completing an upgrade to Albert River Park. Located on the corner of Fryar Road and Ramu Street, the upgrade includes a repainting of the skate bowl and giving the existing playground a makeover to compliment the huge new adventure playground. After checking it out and testing it out, I’m thoroughly impressed. The free adventure playground features multi level areas with cabins, nets, bridges, ladders, slides and a 20 metre long flying fox with many areas covered by shade sails and all areas covered by 24/7 monitoring by a Council safety camera. There are also some fantastic seating areas.
This is a fantastic park and one the Residents of Eagleby should be very proud of so get your play underway without delay! And don’t forget your furry family members who love to play, you just need to keep them on a lead.
