Rebel FM’s Brooksy & JD are searching for the Cost Of Living Crusaders in our communities, those businesses and people offering a hand to lift those who are down and doing it tough during the cost of living crisis many are facing.

The boys found their first crusaders in Garlic Clove, which will hold its next free lunch this Sunday 9 June at noon.

Rebel FM is already a very proud supporter of our next crusaders, Lighthouse Care.

From its humble beginnings as an outreach started in a little van giving out donated loaves of bread and hope, Lighthouse Care has significantly grown in size since its establishment in 2004, in fact, the not-for-profit recently expanded its premises in Loganholme and officially opened its brand new Good Food Shop.

Everyone is encouraged to shop at the Good Food Shop because by shopping there you are supporting Lighthouse Care in continuing to do their work, plus you will find some incredibly discounted groceries. You can even jump online and click and collect.  Don’t feel like driving? For those in Logan and on the Gold Coast, you can shop online and have your groceries delivered to your door.

Lighthouse Care is famous for its $25 trolleys. If you asked founder Debbie Hill how they got to where they are today she would tell you she has no idea. We can tell you this though, as people in the community need support, so do those offering it so please get behind Lighthouse Care.

Another way to support Lighthouse Care is by purchasing tickets to their annual fundraising event on Saturday 22 June at the Logan Entertainment Centre, Viva Las Vegas. Why not get together with friends and grab your tickets today for an entertaining evening out?

If you are or know a cost-of-living crusader in your community, please help Brooksy & JD on their mission to spread the word by nominating here.

Stay tuned to learn more about our next Cost of Living Crusaders HAVAFEED.
