Movember Moustache Ride Conquer the Gold Coast and Hinterland: 2024 Moustache Ride Raises $2,880.50 for Men’s Health

The Gold Coast Hinterland vibrated with the rumble of motorcycles and the unmistakable swagger (or lack of) moustaches this past weekend as the annual Moustache Ride roared back to the Gold Coast for 2024. 140 riders saddled up, sporting their finest facial fuzz and sporting an unwavering dedication to men’s health.

The ride, now a tradition in the region, took moustache enthusiasts on a scenic journey from the Gold Coast through the lush landscapes of the Gold Coast Hinterland. From the rolling hills of Tamborine to the winding roads of Springbrook, the camaraderie and chrome shone brightly as riders championed the cause of Movember.

This year’s Moustache Ride not only brought together motorcycle enthusiasts but also served a crucial purpose: raising funds for Movember, the global charity dedicated to tackling men’s health issues like prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health challenges. Thanks to the generosity of riders, sponsors, and supporters, a phenomenal $2,880.50 was collected, a testament to the power of community and a well-waxed moustache.

“The 2024 Moustache Ride was a roaring success,” Ashley Palmero, founder and organiser of the announcer event for Radio Station Rebel FM.

“We were blown away by the turnout, the energy, and the incredible spirit of everyone involved. Seeing so many moustaches and bikes come together for Movember was truly inspiring.”

“It was great to see so many returning faces from the previous year’s rides.  But it’s not only the riders we need to thank, we’ve got to say a huge thank you to our sponsors, Moto4 at Nerang, Backbone Bar and Kitchen at Tugun and of course, everyone who turned up on the day to volunteer for this great cause.”

The ride started from Motorheadz in Nerang and finished at Backbone Bar and Kitchen at Tugun.  It was a platform for men to connect, challenge themselves, and champion a cause close to their hearts.
